  • Anonymous Letter Threatens “Beheadings are Planned” at These Three Elementary Schools

Earlier this week officials in Rhode Island received a letter threatening to behead elementary school students in three communities, Johnson, Warwick and Cranston.

    Via Opposing Views:

On Tuesday, Rhode Island officials received an anonymous letter threatening the lives of elementary school students in three communities.

The letter—the contents of which were initially kept confidential—was sent to Johnston police.

On Wednesday, officials said that the letter stated that a “beheading is planned” in three cities: Johnston, Warwick, and Cranston.

The letter stated that the beheadings would reportedly be carried out at some point between Wednesday and Friday of this week.

On Wednesday, parents were notified by telephone and email that there was a threat in their community.

Many parents chose not to send their children to school. In fact, Inquisitr reports that at least one-third of Cranston students were absent from school; 40% of students in Johnston stayed home.

    The Providence Journal has more:

While the words are very chilling,” he said. “I certainly would want to emphasize that the safest place right now is in school. I’ve got a police officer in every school and so the other jurisdictions.

“We are providing the security that is necessary. We know that whoever did this decided to create the most chaos he could by picking on the most vulnerable.”

As an extra precaution, elementary school children in all three Rhode Island cities will have indoor recess and gym.

In addition all school doors will be locked during the day, and an I.D. will be mandatory to get into the schools.

Police officers, both undercover and uniformed, will be present at the schools for the rest of the week.

I think that whenever we've been attacked by terrorists they haven't sent us a nice little note saying, "Hey, this is exactly what we're going to do, and this is where we're going to do it" beforehand.

Oh I don't know. They've been telling the US they are coming here and are already in our communities. Sending this message is a good way of spreading terror without really doing anything expensive or time consuming.

x2 Tell the cocksuckers to go fuck themselves and move on with your lives. If and when they do try to strike, crush them like bugs and make examples out of them for all the world to see. Don't do it like we have been doing it.

The schools my children have attended for at least the last eight to ten years all kept the doors locked and you have to present a driver's license to gain entry. Why are they so far behind up there?

We have districts here training and arming teachers. Maybe they need to get up to speed so they can prevent events like sandy hook instead of reacting to them after they happen. News fulash... Criminals go to easy targets, you know, like places that are gun free zones. Why don't people seem to see this?
