That douchebag has three semesters of Middle Eastern studies under his belt as an undergrad, and he's going to call out a PHD neuroscientist whose entire gig is studying the way humans trick themselves with religion? Seems logical. In reality, this a typical Bill Maher move. He brings on a celebrity causehead to argue with a real expert for the purposes of ratings, even when it completely undermines his own position.
