I'm not supporting them bombing the clinic, just showing you the difference that you obviously cannot see. Personally, I think there are better ways as well, but trying to go through legislative means is not the answer either since there are too many people itching to justify this act. Just because our government votes it into law, doesn't mean it's right.
Look at the responses in this thread. The muslims can reverse it and say the same thing. All the other religions hate them, so they are acting in their own self preservation. I don't agree with that, or your point(that I know you don't agree with, just saying), I'm just pointing out that it isn't hard to justify doing horrible things for the sake of purported self well being. Where does that justification end?

From Voyager I, this world is a tiny dot among the cosmos.
That little dot is the place where every person who ever came before us has existed, it's where every ruler and nation has risen and fallen. It's so small and insignificant in the grand scheme of things and it's pathetic that we can't keep from trying to fuck each other.US Politics in three words - Divide and Conquer

Bigger or lesser threat aside, it doesn't change the fact that we constantly have some "evil" that is used as policy justification to keep us "safe." Same shit, different year, regardless of the realistic scope of the perceived threat.

I'm talking about the Red Scare ~1919, McCarthyism/red scare2 post WWII, in terms of the paranoia spread in this country about the communists as well as the anarchists that predated the 1st red scare. That fear is used for control.
It's funny how the fear of a world take over by each side was nearly enough to put an end to humanity all together.
Also amusing that the spread of communism and the establishment of the People's Republic of China was such a big deal, but we now support China financially by manufacturing all the products sold here there and they buy up all our debt. Without them we would be fucked, comical.
The Soviets went broke fighting a war in Afghanistan for 10 years, lets hope we don't suffer the same fate.Last edited by Hobie; 02-04-2011, 10:28 AM.US Politics in three words - Divide and Conquer

You are using religion to justify murder as are they. Same shit, different asshole.
