I am on the fence with several of the immigration issues except this one and it is bullshit. The one thing I can say I hate historically about this country is how it treats our veterans.

And THAT folks is the most effed up part of this deal. This goverment refuses to take care of the men and women that fought to preserve this nation. Those responsible should be shot ,period. Spend the money obummer wants to get the vets the care they need. Ship the rug rats back to their parents.
This is some serious crap. Obummer is effing us all royally.

          Obama quote

"I want to fundamentally change America" I always wondered how far that went.
Don't worry about what you can't change.
Do the best you can with what you have.
Be honest, even if it hurts.

On one hand, you have Obama opening up abandoned military bases and schools to house these aliens and feeding them and giving them medical care and transportation.

On the other, you have homeless vets sitting right outside those same gates, going hungry.

I have been thinking about the electorate ramifications. These kids may vote a certain way in 5-10-15 years if and when they are US citizens. This policy of attracting these kids to the US may be hurtful to the democrats right now in 2014 and 2016. The people on the dole will see the increasing immigration as a threat to them getting stuff as resources are stretched thin, just as a spoiled child gets upset when another child kids sometime.

Ummm..... I have to disagree with this. One of the things I do is feed the homeless in North Hollywood each month with some of my fellow churchgoers. Believe me, there are plenty of hungry people in the U.S. We feed 150 of them every month just in NOHO and we could feed more if we had more food. Two of our church members routinely feed a lot more homeless people up in Bakersfield.

The fact is this - the Dems want voters and the Repubs want cheap labor. There is a confluence of selfish interests between the two groups and that's why you see the overt and not so overt things going on to get them across the Rio Grande, and it's why you see the attempts to black out the press coverage and punitive measures taken against anyone that tells the truth about what is going on.

Nations that have allowed unfettered immigration have either changed their immigration policy after seeing the bad effects of the policy, or have effectively been overrun by the immigrants. We are following in their footsteps. Obama is allowing it to happen.

I am all for immigration, but not illegal immigration. The illegals come here and try to re-establish the same conditions that they left behind in their old country, including the bad things like their crime and gangs. With legal immigration the bar is raised considerably, and it becomes a different proposition for the immigrant - its a hard fought achievement and they will want to be valuable, contributing members of our society which is as it should be.

I'd like to see their homes, I bet those people you feed (just like the kids I see with the free breakfasts/lunch cards) go home and play their xbox's on big screen tv's and text on their galaxy 5 phones. I've been around this so called poverty, and I am extremely jaded as to what this country calls true "poverty" or "hungry." I'm not dismissing your personal experience, I am just highly skeptical. The amount of state social programs and welfare could make life livable for anyone, and it's quite evident anyone that can fog a mirror can receive it. Call me a Social Darwinist, but I believe those kinds of programs enable these problems, and fail to provide the necessary motivation to succeed and help oneself.

CJ - xbox? homes? LOL.... these people don't have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of. They are dirty, mangy, stinky people that have fallen on real hard times and they sleep on the streets or in the parks if the cops don't run them out. Some of them have small children with them, and those kids are the same way - dirty, unkept, and hungry - and it breaks my heart. Many of them have substance abuse issues, and many of them have mental health issues. Goes with the territory.

Still they manage to have dignity - Every time we feed them they are always very grateful for the food.

What I see every month is real poverty, up close and personal.

                        Bingo.

So everyone is discussing "the border crisis" which is basically thousands of unaccompanied children coming into the United States, and the efforts to figure out what to do with them.

                        Okay...

What I don't hear about though, is WHY? Who told them to come here? Why are thousands of children being sent here, risking death in the deserts of northern Mexico / south Texas during July? In all the discussion about this topic, I have not heard one word explaining WHY these kids are coming over in droves.

Would you be surprised if you learned out the Obama administration was running ads, or passing out flyers telling them to come to the US? I think this is going to be uncovered.

what you see are the people that SHOULD be getting welfare and government assistance, but dont, and CJ sees the people that shouldnt be on anything but a jobsite and arent because they have a free ride.

I thought I heard that the DOJ was sending lawyers to the countries, where we were sending some of the illegals back, to defend them.

Shocking US government leaflet tells Mexican immigrants they can collect food stamp benefits without admitting they're in the country illegally
                                Close enough.
