Just thinking out loud here. With all this shit about central Americans trying their damndest to get to America, I say let's bring America to them.

We invade all the way down to panama, and give them territorial status. Our southern border has now shrunk to 140 miles long, easily defendable.

As American Territories, infrastructure will be built using proceeds from their oil, rare earth, fruits, veggies, fishing industries. Within 30-40 years, they could be in great shape.

This also puts South America on notice to police their own emigrants or they may end up part of the good ole USA in the future.
