Agree with Sean about the toll roads...I wear a Fez. Fez-es are cool

It's not an either/or situation - we will get both the gas tax and the tolls. And the tax increase will just give Washington more slush fund money to squander on everything but roads. And then they will come back asking for more money for roads later, and the cycle will begin all over again.

If you genuinely don't care, like you manage to always say in every one of these type of threads you post in, then I feel sorry for you. The government is holding a gun to everyones head and demanding more, and you're telling me I'm dramatic? If you don't give a shit then feel free to pull out your checkbook and spread some of your apparent endless wealth around.

You would have to be pretty fucking stupid to be in favor of giving the federal government one more cent.Originally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.

Even more dramatic than your first post in this thread-impressive.
You are correct though in one respect, I don't give a shit personally whether this fuel tax increase proposal becomes reality. I will pay my part if it does, and so will you.

I'm sorry, I have to agree that this is one tax that makes sense. Our country is suffering from a crumbling infrastructure and increased traffic congestion that costs billions of dollars per year in lost productivity.
Privatization of the highways through toll roads will continue to increase but only in areas that are economically feasible. Unfortunately, that does nothing for the remainder of the highways/interstates out there that are literally falling apart.
**I say this with the expectation that these funds are used appropriately, which is asking way too much I'm sure.
