President Obama’s White House will honor illegal immigrant activists at a ceremony Tuesday.

Two activists with the group Mi Familia Vota Education Fund will be honored as “Champions of Change” at a special White House ceremony.

Fernanda Zaragoza-Gomez, 19, a Colorado Mi Familia Vota canvasser, and Steven Arteaga Rodriguez, a Texas activist with the group, are both “DREAMers” who began their activism careers after applying for and gaining Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), a program established by Obama to provide living and working status for undocumented young immigrants.

The activist group, which has offices in six states, works for the goal of “expanding the electorate” through “direct, sustainable citizenship, voter registration, census education, GOTV and issue organizing in key states.”

Mi Familia Vota’s board of directors includes labor leader Eliseo Medina, who said in a 2010 speech that immigration reform will create a long-term progressive “governing coalition.”

“My father was deported and I never saw him again before he died,” honored activist Zaragoza-Gomez said in a statement. “I will keep working with Mi Familia Vota to grow Latino voter participation and push for commonsense immigration reform so that one day, other families won’t have to be separated, like I was from my father.”

While the White House is teaming with law enforcement officers, no arrests are expected to be made Tuesday.

If you think this sudden flood of illegal immigrant children is spontaneous, think again.

According to a “help wanted” Request For Information (RFI) posted on FedBizOpps.gov, the feds were looking for vendors to help escort unaccompanied alien children (UAC) in JANUARY of this year.

The specific vendor requirements state:

ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] is seeking the services of a responsible vendor that shares the philosophy of treating all UAC with dignity and respect, while adhering to standard operating procedures and policies that allow for an effective, efficient, and incident free transport. The Contractor shall provide unarmed escort staff, including management, supervision, manpower, training, certifications, licenses, drug testing, equipment, and supplies necessary to provide on-demand escort services for non-criminal/non-delinquent unaccompanied alien children ages infant to 17 years of age, seven (7) days a week, 365 days a year. Transport will be required for either category of UAC or individual juveniles, to include both male and female juveniles. There will be approximately 65,000 UAC in total: 25% local ground transport, 25% via ICE charter and 50% via commercial air.

The question is, how in January, did the U.S. government know up to 65,000 unaccompanied illegal alien children would be arriving?

More immigrations BS. Imagine this -- the administration keeping something from us... Someone explain something to me. We have a border, right? We have border patrol. You either enter this country legally with proper credentials or illegally -- there is no in between. If you're illegal, or even a legal alien or citizen but don't have your creds, why don't we show you to the border with a bottle of water, a protein bar, and tell you to get walking while we stand there with guns drawn in case you decide to come back? If we started doing that, I bet people would stop trying to come in illegally. I don't understand why we even have immigration court. It's a simple matter of being legal or not.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration has released into the U.S. an untold number of immigrant families caught traveling illegally from Central America in recent months — and although the government knows how many it's released, it won't say publicly.

Senior U.S. officials directly familiar with the issue, including at the Homeland Security Department and White House, have so far dodged the answer on at least seven occasions over two weeks, alternately saying that they did not know the figure or didn't have it immediately at hand. "We will get back to you," the Homeland Security deputy secretary said Friday.

The figure is widely believed to exceed 40,000 since October. It's believed to be slightly below the roughly 52,000 children caught traveling illegally from Central America over the same period, an extraordinary increase since last year that is driving a humanitarian crisis at the border.

Despite promises to the contrary, this is how it looks when the image-conscious Obama administration doesn't want to reveal politically sensitive information that could influence an important policy debate. The mystery figure is significant because the number of families caught crossing from Central America represents a large share of new immigration cases that will further strain the overwhelmed U.S. immigration courts system. It also affects federal enforcement strategy, such as where to deploy the border patrol, and political calculations about whether Congress or the White House will relax American immigration laws or regulations before upcoming congressional elections in November.

Most of the immigrant families are from Honduras, El Salvador or Guatemala and cannot be immediately repatriated, so the government has been releasing them into the U.S. interior and telling them to report within 15 days to the nearest U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement offices. Despite promises for better transparency on immigration issues, the administration has been unwilling to say how many immigrant families it's released — hundreds or thousands — or how many of those subsequently reported back to the government after 15 days as directed.

The government has limited options for detaining families caught crossing the border illegally, usually mothers with children. It has space for fewer than 100 family members at its only detention center for them, in Berks County, Pennsylvania. The administration announced Friday that it will open new detention facilities for immigrant families, including a 700-bed facility at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Artesia, New Mexico, which is home to the Border Patrol's training academy. It didn't say when that new immigration jail would open or how many others it will build.

The administration did not immediately respond Monday to renewed questions about why it won't reveal the figure.

Here are details of at least seven occasions since June 9 when senior U.S. officials declined to say how many immigrant families the government has released in recent months:

—June 9: A senior administration official, speaking on condition of anonymity during a conference call, told reporters there was no information available about the number of adults with children who were released.

—June 10: On Capitol Hill for a congressional briefing, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson told an Associated Press reporter in response to a question about the figure: "I have no news for you." He urged AP to ask the department's public affairs office, which did not answer roughly a dozen requests for the information.

—June 12: At a news conference about immigration, the Homeland Security secretary did not respond to a shouted question about the number of immigrants released.

—June 13: The Customs and Border Protection commissioner, Gil Kerlikowske, told the AP that he didn't know how many immigrants his agency released. He said the administration was compiling the data.

—June 13: During a visit to Chicago, Johnson told the AP he didn't have the information with him.

—Friday: On a conference call, the Homeland Security deputy secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas, said, "We will get back to you with respect to the precise numbers on the notices to appear." He added later: "I don't have the response to the data question that you asked."

—Friday: When reporters asked White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest about the releases during a news conference, he responded: "I don't have those numbers here ... but what I do have is a clear commitment from this administration to deal with what is an emerging humanitarian situation."

BREAKING: Shots Fired From Mexico at Texas Border Patrol
As the border crisis continues to escalate, we’re seeing the state of Texas and even militia groups from around the country rush to the border to do what the feds have refused to do for years.

Some in Mexico obviously aren’t too happy about this… and they’re showing their displeasure by firing shots across the border to try to intimidate our troops who bravely responded to the call of duty.

Law enforcement in Texas is reporting that the shots were fired after game wardens brought in larger-than-normal numbers illegals and destroyed the rafts of those trying to cross the Rio Grande.

A trusted law enforcement source is reporting that shots are currently being fired on the Mexican side of the U.S. border. The shots are intended to harass the increased presence of Texas law enforcement personnel.

Source: “Not shooting at game wardens, but shooting to be a nuisance.”

Another trusted law enforcement source explained that the game wardens have been bringing in much higher numbers of illegal immigrants and destroying the rafts the human smugglers have been using to ferry illegal immigrants across the Rio Grande River that forms the international boundary between Texas and Mexico.

The area of the Rio Grande Valley sector where this is occurring is known as Zone 9. It is the Anzalduas area of the river border. This area has become ground zero for the border crisis.

This reporter visited the exact area two days ago and will release footage informing our readers and viewers on the hotspot.

UPDATE: Source indicates federal Fish and Wildlife agents are among the law enforcement the shooter(s) are intending to harass. Source indicates this marks the second occurrence in the area in two weeks.

This is unreal. I’d love to see one of the thugs (likely cartel members) try to take a shot at a Texas law enforecment officer, then they’ll see why we don’t mess with Texas.
