I don't think they planned for ISIS to hit Mosel as well as they did. I don't think they planned on them securing as much money and gold as ISIS did. I'm sure they didn't expect ISIS to seize oil sites and start running it as their business. They sure as hell didn't plan on the Iraqi government folding as easily as they did (somewhat, maybe) and want to keep us out while looking towards Iran for support.
It definitely snowballed quickly.

Uhhh yeah. So in other words, no it hasnt been manageable. I did see earlier where some fuckstick posted a selfie at an enemy base there and 20 minutes later the AF called in an Airstrike and wiped it out. If only there own vanity and mistakes continue to backfire. I just wish a country with some balls would unleash some hell on them. God knows the Dumb ass here wont.

I know that we are more concerned about civilian casualties than just about anything but i wouldn't imagine that there were many "innocent" civilians there protesting ISIS. That fucking HWY should have been bombed until it resembled the Grand Canyon.
One would also think that since Obama is the closest thing to a Jew, he would be more inclined to take King Abdullah's approach and only worry about running out of bullets and fuel. Maybe he's not what he says he is......
