I imagine a lot of the GOP guys are rethinking their platforms now. Clearly, getting cozy with the dems position on immigration is not a winning strategy for the conservatives, a point that has been resoundingly made over and over lately and has been ignored by the GOP politicians - at their own peril. Cantor was the canary in the mine.

I'm quite sure that their hearing and comprehension just improved 100%. I look for quite a few of them to put out press releases saying that they are backing away from immigration reform in the news over the next few days.

The Democrat challenger is actually another professor from the same college at Brat. The 7th district is HEAVY GOP, though.

They have Rand Paul to balance it out. At least McConnell is making the left spend boat loads of cash opposing him. Alison Grimes won 76% of the votes in the democratic primary, it's not going to be a cake walk for McConnell. Bill Clinton is personally campaigning with her.

There's a good chance he may get unseated, and it may be a good thing, take her out next election.
