That goes to show how expensive stupid decisions can be.

Yes, he was the #2 rino in government. I hope it sends a message. Maybe Boehner will cry about it.

I imagine a lot of the GOP guys are rethinking their platforms now. Clearly, getting cozy with the dems position on immigration is not a winning strategy for the conservatives, a point that has been resoundingly made over and over lately and has been ignored by the GOP politicians - at their own peril. Cantor was the canary in the mine.

I'm quite sure that their hearing and comprehension just improved 100%. I look for quite a few of them to put out press releases saying that they are backing away from immigration reform in the news over the next few days.

Man, that is a real kick in the balls to the establishment. I heard that Brat only had about $200K in funds too. Cantor certainly didn't help himself.

Now Brat has to actually win the general election. Virginia isn't solidly Republican so a decent Democratic challenger has a good chance at winning.

I was listening to a few news stories and they made it seem like he's a shoe in unless Cantor writes in.

Cantor out spent Brat, like 25:1.

The Democrat challenger is actually another professor from the same college at Brat. The 7th district is HEAVY GOP, though.

I honestly was sure if voting even worked anymore, the whole thing seems rigged.

That district is similar to Collin County in regards to voting base.

. Look at the money the corporations spent trying to get him elected! 25:1 is a huge ratio. Clear message there. I am tired of career congressmen bought and paid for by corporations. Very refreshing to see this happen.

They have Rand Paul to balance it out. At least McConnell is making the left spend boat loads of cash opposing him. Alison Grimes won 76% of the votes in the democratic primary, it's not going to be a cake walk for McConnell. Bill Clinton is personally campaigning with her.

There's a good chance he may get unseated, and it may be a good thing, take her out next election.

McConnell is more or less a Democrat woman, so the real thing getting elected would be more genuine.
