In Denver, eighty-two soldiers in a company on a troop train headed for Trinidad refused to go. The press reported: “The men declared they would not engage in the shooting of women and children. They hissed the 350 men who did start and shouted imprecations at them.”

The past of this country is flowing with rivers of blood from the innocent. I don't necessarily think it's better any where else, but I certainly am past the point in life where I proudly hang a flag outside my house.
You had an armed gang paid by a corporation, including bribed national guardsman.
If I missed where this was an officially condoned act by the US Gov't, then please correct me - otherwise this was basically a bunch mercenaries bribed and bought by Rockefeller to break a strike.
I could understand if you said it made you anti-corporate, but the patriotic is a bit of a stretch in my opinion.

The corporations own this country, even more so after the last few SC decisions.

My grandfather was a Pinkerton man and was there. Some parts of the family have claimed the old man's involvement was minimal. Others claim he was in it up to his neck. I know he used an assumed name for several years. I suspect he hadn't gone there to sing in the choir.
I never got to ask; he died before I was born.
