The reason I date breaks from Levin is it can be depressing listening to how the country is coming apart.
"When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin
"A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury." -Alexander Fraser Tytler

There is no constitutional mandate for their existence but you demand they actually exist based on their skills and you're trying to behead Big Bird while skull fucking Bert. Same with removing public funding from Sesame Street.
        Doesn't get it.

Explain how he is wrong, then.
I don't like Republicans, but I really FUCKING hate Democrats.

I never said he was wrong, but I'll indulge your question.
Anyone that advertises on a radio station has customers, those customers pay for the advertising of the company. So in turn he's paying for a radio station that he doesn't even listen to. The only difference is the institution that the money is coming from. I wonder if Jim realizes that more than 75% of NPR's funding doesn't come from the government.

I'm not even going to entertain his "unconstitutional" argument, as his presuppositions won't allow him to have a rational conversation on the topic.

You really don't see the difference, or are you just trying to ruffle Frosty's feathers?

The only difference is the source of the money.

Constitutional authority for the federal government to act cannot possibly get more rational. NPR is an unconstitutional expense that can no longer be afforded.

I have to laugh. He just explained why he calls Sean Hannity "wall banger." He says, it's because before radio he hung drywall. Then he goes on to say, "What makes him think hanging drywall qualifies him to be on radio. Now, I'm not a fan of Hannity myself, he pounds and pounds on the same shit day after day, talking points non-stop. But let's look at the facts:

He has nearly 3x the audience you do? I think the question should be what makes you think a doctorate in nutritional ethnomedicine makes you qualified to be a radio host? Because a guy who hung drywall is whooping your ass? He's such a conniving bitter man.

Ah, so anyone listening to talk radio is a sheep, I see.

Certainly not everyone. Maybe not even half. But it's still a lot of sheep.

A lot of the material they cover you can't find on typical media outlets, or the time expended would far exceed what is available. I consider the perspectives of the hosts, and usually you'll hear 3 different ones throughout the day. It's also quite educational, depending on the host.
