I have nothing against gays, their money is as green as straight people`s. Also, they make great fine cooks and it keeps the wifey happy. If the wifey is happy.... She makes me happy. ( Do the math there ) I have no complaints.

However, you have one party that has 15-20% of it`s base simply because the other party doesnt want them because 30% of it`s existing base would leave if they welcomed them.

I can see where you would believe that, but it`s not true at all. LGBT people are no more conservative or liberal in percentages breakdown as a goup than the general population. They ALL go for the Dems/Liberal movement because the GOP the last 20 years has gone to great lengths to kick them out of the party to keep the evangelical wing happy.

I know several gay business owners in Texas that are clients of the company I work for that would rejoin the GOP in a heartbeat if the party would get out of the business of making them "not welcome".

For me personally, this is the exact reason why I STOPPED being a republican/conservative because I got to witness firsthand in 2004 at both the state ( Texas ) & GOP National conventions the log cabins being asked: "to leave because they were told beforehand to NOT show up". My wife on the otherhand, still votes for a straight GOP ticket -- Oh well.

What really is evident on this board is the plausible deniability of the typical GOP/Conservative voter -- " We dont have anything against gays, and dont believe in disrimination " proclamations -- Yet they still vote for politicians that do because they want a tax cut.

Most of us here are pretty much against entitlement, gun control, obamacare, regulations, taxes, big government, hybrid mustangs that get 40mpg - well that's what the backers of LGBT want. The LGBT is nothing but an arm of the Liberals and Democratic Party. They will push 'common sense' agenda items to get into power - and then push the things we do not want - and by then it will be late - hell it's already too late for most of America - Obama got re-elected. The Liberals are here because their failed ideas didn't work where they came from - so they are going to try it again in Texas - and Texas will end up like the rest of the Blue states.
