Electric bills are up, taxes up, gas up, health care going through the roof, insurance up, phone bills up, groceries up. I mean to a guy making an ass load of money it affects him zero. To the average middle class it affects us a lot. I truly enjoy what I do and helping people but I will never get rich on it nor do I expect to. It is just not hard to see the trickle down effect when all your execs are making stupid money. What's sad is that my bigger issue is not with company's like Wal-Mart but with the companies that were bailed out. I am sorry but I wanted the collapse to happen. Nothing says reset like companies going out of business. Instead we bail out these dumb mother fuckers and they are still living high on the hog. How many other companies would have failed and had to re organize if the collapse would have happened?

To me the bail outs stopped a major reset. If the economy will not support your bloated ass company then it is time to re organize and maybe re think your salary structures. If a bunch of banks failed, GM failed, and every other thing else they propped up failed, what else would have went? Would have made it extremely hard to get financing on everyone's over priced shit, so that may have reset the car industry all together. Lets say food stamps get taken out with it. Well then Wal-Mart fails and has a reset on all their execs and compensation packages.

Yes when the government is propping up this fucked up mess with my tax dollars then I should have a say so. This country needs a reset I am sorry to say. Free money to all rich and poor has screwed up everything. Just like taxes and the people bitching because Romney or somebody pays 11 percent and holey shit that equals what 5000 tax payers pay. Fuck that guy let him pay 27 percent like the rest of us. I guarantee it will affect him way less then it affects me.

Yes I am for people making whatever the market will bear. But when the rich and greedy start dabbling in it ( congress, etc, etc.), then it is no longer a fair playing field. Really I am not into capping what execs make. I just think they stopped what needed to happen. The middle class is taking it on the chin every day.

This was kind of my point earlier. A this led to that thing but I was in a hurry.

If all of those things had failed, smaller companies would have bought them at discount or they'd go through bankruptcy. People seem to forget companies can and do go through bankruptcies all of the time.

Right. Do you think the execs at smaller companies are pulling in those types of dollars? Private jets, bonuses etc. Some of that stuff is just not realistic. If you bought a company out of bankruptcy would you keep with the current salary structures etc?

We bailed out the country so those execs could continue living the life. I think they just prolonged the inevitable but I am not one of the financial gurus on here. I do believe it would have been a domino effect and corrected a lot of this separation.

Holy fuckballs man... you just don't effing get it. You sound like my 5 year old. "It's not fair..", and you're right it isn't. Life isn't effing fair, deal with it or don't, but please don't fucking whine about it anymore.

So your intelligent argument is that I sound like a five year old? Who is whining? Can you not have a normal debate with out getting all flustered? My life is good and I am not all mad about it. I am just saying I can see both sides of the coin.

Ok, sure, let's have a normal debate about shit that's none of our business?

Now if you want to talk about bailouts or tax breaks I'm sure I'd agree with you on a lot of that. I was against the bailouts. As for tax breaks, I think there's way too much corruption on a lot of that which could be fixed and the breaks could be used to encourage businesses to employ people locally, discourage sending money over seas, etc.

If you want a fair tax, there's only one way to do it and that's to eliminate all taxes and simply add a 20% sales tax to everything. So long as your argument is "Fuck that guy let him pay 27 percent like the rest of us. I guarantee it will affect him way less then it affects me. " then it's fatally flawed by the millions of people who don't pay tax at all as they don't work or are here illegally getting paid in cash and not being taxed then sending that money across the border.

Stop sending jobs and money over seas, and a flat federal sales tax across the board with no other "income" taxes. Property taxes/state taxes can stay the same for all I care as the property taxes pay for school systems.

Yeah I agree with you on all of that also.

It is all just so fucked up right now it is not even funny. I like the Fairtax personally. Screw all these people getting 20k back a year because they have kids. If you can not afford kids, don't have them.

Like I said above it is my business since it is my money used to prop up all this shit. I realize my part is like .00000001 percent but still that's my part. If the fair market can support all those companies and salaries then why did we prop them up.

Slow or one of those guys may come in here and slap me around in a bit about the whole meltdown scenario correcting things but we shall see. Plus we will never know since it was not allowed to happen.

I hate when people say something to the degree of "they're just lucky." What does this mean? They were just handed X amount of money, because they're just the dumb lucky bastard who happened to be selected? No, they made their own damn "luck"
Those who are willing to work hard reap the benefits of this. Also, people who say "I can't find a job" are just as guilty of this. You can create your own business with ZERO specialty. A used push lawnmower can be picked up free, if not very very cheap. Suddenly, you have a $50/hr job if you can get off of your ass and eagerly offer your services.

Prove yourself. If it goes unnoticed somehow, then approach your superiors. If you feel you are still undercompensated, then go out and start your own business. The richest people in the world aren't receiving a weekly "paycheck"

No, those bankers and executives would have to either survive on their savings, market themselves to the smaller companies at less money or start their own competing business. That's how it goes.

My biggest problem is that half the population of this country lives below the median income line in the US... That is ridiculous!
