Not a whole lot of revenge killings from Germans or Japanese IIRC. They knew they were at war, they knew they lost.

IMO, this current stuff, they're in perpetual resistance mode, because, IMO, we're not making war. We're treating this like a cancer. We're doing "nice" surgical removals to get a little here, a little there when we should hit the whole body with chemo and bring the body to near death in order to purge it. Sure, a lot of healthy, good cells will die, but the body as a whole will be healthier in the recovery.

Their Oath of Enlistment says they will:
