You can't arrest someone for what MAY happen. Did a piece of his property fall off and injure someone? If it did, by all means hold him accountable and arrest him.

You can arrest someone for not following a judge's order given to that person in a court of law, which is what happened.

He should hold some accountability for running an operation with a known, recognized and reported hazard without taking any proactive measure to reduce or terminate the risk of someone getting injured.

And yes, you can arrest someone for what may happen. The charges generally start off with "conspiracy to commit" followed by the crime, be it murder, theft, assault.

What are those number of things? How do you shut down the exterior of a building? Block the sidewalks? That isn't ridiculous or anything.

Last March I walked back to the hotel down Bourbon Street at around 2am. When I got up at 8 to go eat breakfast and went the same way to an eatery, this had happened in the hours I was sleeping:



Someone could have easily been killed if they were under that when it came down. Why does he own an office building that he can't keep up with the repairs on? It isn't like this was his house.

I agree. I also don't believe him when he said no contractor was interested in making the repairs. Now the story is getting national attention people are offering to do it for no or low cost but he couldn't find a contractor to do it for full price? BS.

By his refusal to do anything about it, intent/negligence could be argued. Neglecting to tell the police that such crimes are being planned is illegal also.
