Several missed EBT recharges would be instant chaos in ANY state, Red or Blue....

It wont happen. There are too many GOP "friendly" companies out there that have a vested interest in producing the goods and sevices food stamp recipients purchase with those food stamps. I dont forsee them simply allowing their golden calf to be taken away by Republicans since the Republicans dont want to offend those companies which would stop giving "contributions" to them.

Despite saying things totally different to energize the voting base, the GOP LOVES the Food Stamps program.

We fought against the north because the north sent troops to the south and attacked US, then waged a campaign of terrorism against a civilian population.

Good work at ignoring the simple fact that when you compare sheer numbers, there are more total people on welfare in blue states than in red states. California alone has 34% of the countries welfare collectors living in it's borders, and it has more people on welfare than the bottom 30 states combined. Should we discuss New York, Illinois, Ohio? The top 5 blue states have over 80% of the nation's total welfare recipients.

Don't let facts get in the way of anything that jerk off has to say. He never consults any. He lives in his own la la obama land.

Pretty much, yep. I think a better title for the Civil War remains The War of Northern Aggression.

Until there is a currency crisis or the inflation that comes as a result of preventing it means the benefits paid are worthless. One of those scenarios will happen, it is only a matter of time.

My mom graduated from Robert E Lee High School in Robert Lee Texas. True story….
You remember the stories John use to tell us about the the three chinamen playing Fantan? This guy runs up to them and says, "Hey, the world's coming to an end!" and the first one says, "Well, I best go to the mission and pray," and the second one says, "Well, hell, I'm gonna go and buy me a case of Mezcal and six whores," and the third one says "Well, I'm gonna finish the game." I shall finish the game, Doc.

The fucked up thing about a currency crisis in the US would be, what currency could supplant the dollar, if it failed? Would different currencies supplant it in certain regions? Surely they would just devalue it, like European countries used to do.

You would think that all you need is a valid alternative. Then again, these things tend to happen in unexpected ways. One thing is for sure, running up the public debt doesn't decrease the odds of it happening.

Thats is ONE way to look at it... counting one as one. The problem there is that a large population state is naturally going to have more. Kind of like how Texas Conservatives like to complain when any journalist points out that Texas leads the nation in the number of uninsured people, low wage workers, high school drop outs, unwed teen mothers, etc

The best way to look at it is what percentage of a states actual population is on welfare. I think we both can agree that Deep Red states the likes of Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kentucky, West Virginia, South Carolina, etc., etc, etc..... Have a far higher percentage of residents on welfare than those top 5 blue states.

And yes... both Lee and Jackson were traitors that should have been tried for treason and hung.

There is none.... Just like there is no gold stored in Ft Knox.

Everyone will accept the US Dollar at face value no matter what happens because the alternative is unthinkable. Though it does provide good story cover for all the gold & silver companies to buy air time on rightie radio to sell their products and services.
