I just don't see the benefit of paying 20% more for something when ultimately most of that money is going out of town. I'd rather save $20 on my grocery bill and take the savings to Baby Doll's crippled children's home and help out the local economy.
Besides, we own these fucking places! If you have 401k plan and are in a large cap mutual fund then you are most likely an owner of Wal mart! Fucking greedy sons of bitches!
This brings up a good point. Most of the employees hold stock in Walmart so those low prices up the stock prices because of sales so those employees are making bank on stocks during good times. I had enough saved up on stock to coast from the end of my time at Walmart until my first Army paycheck.
I don't give two shits what WalMart does or pays its employees. I don't shop their very often because their prices have gone way up over the last few years. Its a perception they have the lowest prices much like everyone thinks Southwest has the lowest fares. Its not always what it seems to be...
Exactly, let the buyer beware. My wife does an excellent job at tracking grocery prices around town, and Wal-mart isn't the cheapest game in town on everything. We plan our grocery trips accordingly for the best priced location of the items we want. Wal-mart wins with the allure of cheap end cap items and while you're there, they make bank on the stuff you buy since you're there anyway.

We do the same. Kroger and Brookshires for meat and veggies, Walmart for canned goods and non essentials and local supermarket for milk and cheese.
