When they first were pushing ethanol they claimed it would be a cleaner fuel and give more mpg's.

No I'm talking about an actual steam ran car with some kind of small boiler that would heat up water and create steam.

Americans can't be trusted to change the oil in their cars now, and you think a steam engine is the answer? Those take a godawful pile of maintenance.

I think steam engine cars would be awesome, personally. Maintenance really isn't that bad, the problem is a lack of people to maintain the boilers. There is a shortage of them as is.

Ethanol was a bad idea from day one. It has nothing to do with energy policy and everything to do with political donations and buying votes from Iowa and other corn states. Frankly I think it is unethical to turn our food into fuel when there are still millions starving in this world.

Sad thing is, we have Republicans to blame for it. They pushed for it and got it through congress. Our own Joe Barton was one of the traitors that used to preach to everyone how stupid ethanol was but then championed the energy bill that put it into our tanks. He was the chairman of the energy and commerce committee at the time..

I don't believe you'll find that statement anywhere
Don't worry about what you can't change.

Some dealerships will always try and market, "flex fuel," models as somehow more fuel efficient. I think that's what he's talking about.

Flex fuel is a great way to keep your fuel system clean. True story.
