There was an open carry demonstration in Arlington last Thursday I20/Little rd. Does anyone know the outcome of that?

You know what, I did not like the language either, but I understand why he was pissed. I agree it's going to offend all the sheeple. However, they are part of the problem anyway.

Also, it's seeming to me that more and more freedom of speech/protests are allowed for various things. However, if it's the least bit touchy (even though 100% legal) they just start taking them to jail. Gun rights/laws are a huge one in a lot of states - but regardless of it being legal or not - they'll cart you off to jail.

State traffic code addresses that. City Ordinance for speed is different. There is no restriction for instanter on a city ordinance (unless that city adopts one in their code.) Ask your Judge.

The thing is if you want people to hear you and take you seriously you have to speak passionately about your cause not Mother fuck this and Mother fuck that. You will turn the majority of your audience off that way and they will right you off as a nut job.

If I was of those troopers that guy would have gone to jail for disorderly conduct.

Maybe they were getting the ones with guns first since they were more of a threat? I don't know, but it looks like a fail to sign to me. The rookie tries to give him something and looks like the guy refused it. If it was for trespassing, I would have made my way to the loud mouth first. And the Republic of Texas guys are nut jobs.

I agree with you on that. But being nutty doesn't equal having your rights violated. I really don't know much about this, so I'm not going to get too far into it. Just seems like they would have to ask the entire group to leave instead of just picking and choosing. That guy that was yelling is going to be found dead in a prison cell with a broom stick broke off in his ass one day. lol

I agree with you on this, I'm an ambassador for all to be joyous about guns. I had a nice long response typed up, but it does matter. At the end of the day I understand people getting pissed off when they (feel like they) get the short end of the freedom stick.

Yet another reason for open carry to put a bad taste in my mouth. I still have yet to hear a good reason for open carry.

You've heard plenty, you just chose not to agree.

There was at least 1-2 threads over the last couple of years. I remember being mildly surprised that you were not open to open carry. I'm not going to sit here and reiterate the whole thing - if you chose not to want it, fine. You don't have to open carry.

Agreed. Much rather people don't know than advertise "Hey look at me!" No point to it.
