The guy filming should have never put this on the net, it makes him sound like a whack job that shouldn't be allowed to carry. In my protests like this do more harm then good, for their cause.

If it's a true replica that fires a ball, then they had no right to arrest them. If it's a replica that uses modern ammunition, then they don't have a leg to stand on and good job to the officers.

ok I only got about 3 min into that and got tired of listening to the screaming and profanity
There is probably no one here that loves the 2nd more than I but
1) when asked by an official to sign a ticket if you do not comply they will arrest you next time you get pulled over for speeding tell the officer you will not sign and see what it gets ya
2) not sure what he was being detained for but I'd guess the ticket was for criminal trespass. If the gun he had holstered was real/replica/toy an officer can ask you to leave any event because your presence might incite a riot
3) That looked like the capitol grounds I remember 20+ years ago a guy getting arrested much the same way for open carrying a double barrel shotgun in protest of some law he didn't like the charges they hit him with then was criminal trespass on capitol grounds
I liken this to the Athiest videos I see where they call Christians various names. If you cannot express your opinion in a clear concise method without the use of profanity and verbal abuse please sit the protest out and let those with an IQ higher than the caliber they carry fight the fight.
Personally I'm not a big fan of any carry unlicensed. I've seen too many classes that people have either failed the written, shooting or both tests. I'm sorry if you cannot pass these trivial tests you should not have a gun in public where you might be called upon to shoot it in a life and death situation. but YMMV

Originally posted by line-em-up View PostNot to nitpick, but I thought the only traffic offense that they CAN'T arrest you for is speeding.
Now, a lot of cities have "local" speed "ordinances" for roadways in their towns. They CAN arrest you for violating the city ordinance, including the speed offense.
