Pretty sad we even have to worry about this. I spent most of my childhood playing guns etc with the neighborhood kids. Heck we used to walk down to the other end of the neighborhood with air rifles on our way to Audobon park and Duck Creek to go shoot bottles and junk.

Or maybe "kids" were not walking into their own schools and killing their fellow students. So to not be a "pussy" they should have wrestled the kid, holding what the officers thought was a real AK, to the ground to disarm him? Or maybe asked pretty please.
It's a damn tragedy that a teen was killed. No question. The picture I've seen floating around looks real enough. I'm sorry, but if someone points it at me I'm protecting myself. I'm not saying that's what happened. I've heard conflicting stories.
I don't know how I would live with myself if I was ever in that situation. I've been about as close as I ever want to be. It involved a 15-16 year old and an air soft desert eagle.2007 Chevy TBSS

I haven't seen anything that says he pointed the fake gun at the deputies. And only one of the deputies fired. This is going to get real interesting.Originally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.

Care to move the goalpost some more? Your statement was based on the premise that school shootings are a new phenomenon. You were wrong. If it's not what you meant to say then you should be more clear with your statements."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin
"A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury." -Alexander Fraser Tytler
