  • 51k people signed up for O'care. Well short of projections

The figures, provided exclusively to MailOnline, show that the administration is, so far, only attracting 29 per cent as many applications as it needs to keep the Obamacare system afloat.

Just 51,000 people completed Obamacare applications during the first week the Healthcare.gov website was online, according to two sources inside the Department of Health and Human Services who gave MailOnline an exclusive look at the earliest enrollment numbers.

The career civil servants, who process data inside the agency, confirmed independently that just 6,200 Americans applied for health insurance through the problem-plagued website on October 1, the day it first opened to the public.

Neither HHS nor the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services would comment on the record about the numbers. Enroll America, the president's organization of health care 'navigators' who are charged with helping Americans sign up, didn't reply to a request for information about its level of success so far.

The White House also did not respond to emails seeking comment.

But several administration officials have claimed this month that they didn't have access to the kinds of raw figures MailOnline obtained from the people who work for them. And the anemic totals suggest a far lower level of interest in coverage through the Affordable Care Act than the Obama administration has hoped to see.

So...our shit-head president raises the cost of healthcare 20-40% for 200 million people so 51k can sign up for his shitty program? That's what this amounts too.

The needs of the few outweigh the needs of the many...

        Wait, what?

Don't forget about all of the jobs that were created (and probably given to Obummers friends) to build the shitty websites and the people to enforce the new laws. It's a WIN WIN.

Then subtract all the full time positions that turned to part time positions and all the companies letting loose employees to get under the 50 cap.

But yet, the blind liberals still think he is the second coming half black Jesus.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

I'm all for complete failure here, but seriously, people? A) It's been one week. B) The website isn't even working half the time or more.

The numbers are going to be a joke any way you slice it, but you're all jumping the gun just a bit.

It's amazing how the Army gets denied money to fund their own cloud network for secure communications and instead are told to use commercially available products but they find $600 million dollars to build a system that can't even support 1% of the people that'll be forced to use it at some point.

They should just let Microsoft or Google run the whole thing. At least they'd have someone else to blame when the system crashes.

Now here is the next couple of problems:

                              - Instead of the Dems fixing it, they just act like everything is fine. Unless they get seven million people to sign up, insurance rates start a death spiral where they increase every year and more people drop insurance.

                              - Our dumbass Republican idiots who just folded decide they are going to fix this garbage instead of repealing it. They can get new tax revenue from this thing, do you think they are going to pass up being able to dole that out for votes? Don't bet on it.

This whole thing needs to fucking die and they need something to address the cost of medical care rather than how to pay for it.
