Doesn't matter, you won't get any discounts of 70k anyway apparently.

For just my wife and, it would been over 9k a year...

I'm not sure exactly how much my work kicks in, but I'm on a high deductible plan.I pay 0$ for it a month, Everything we spend money related to medicine and doctor(even OTC) is counted towards the deductible that is a max out of pocket of $6500 to which everything is covered 100%

    What a scam.

That is next. If you make more than X you must give it to someone less fortunate.

This had me at ~$72/wk for platinum, or about 20% of my net income, and ~$36/wk for bronze, or about 10% of net before deductibles and/or copays. This is far more expensive than what I currently pay for health insurance, which is $0, I get free preventive care, $15/35 medicine copays and $250 ER copay. I do have relatively high deductibles though, but I doubt I'll need to worry about those.

My insurance currently costs me $182/mo and it is awesome.

So to keep some semblance of "excellent coverage" my premiums will increase by ~140%.

              Suckers!
Cindy Vinson and Tom Waschura are big believers in the Affordable Care Act. They vote independent and are proud to say they helped elect and re-elect President Barack Obama.

Yet, like many other Bay Area residents who pay for their own medical insurance, they were floored last week when they opened their bills: Their policies were being replaced with pricier plans that conform to all the requirements of the new health care law.

Vinson, of San Jose, will pay $1,800 more a year for an individual policy, while Waschura, of Portola Valley, will cough up almost $10,000 more for insurance for his family of four.
              ...
"I was laughing at Boehner -- until the mail came today," Waschura said, referring to House Speaker John Boehner, who is leading the Republican charge to defund Obamacare.

"I really don't like the Republican tactics, but at least now I can understand why they are so pissed about this. When you take $10,000 out of my family's pocket each year, that's otherwise disposable income or retirement savings that will not be going into our local economy."
              ...
"Of course, I want people to have health care," Vinson said. "I just didn't realize I would be the one who was going to pay for it personally."

and yet he's still hanging on to "hope"...

"I'm not against Obamacare," Waschura said. "It's just the initial shock. I'm holding out hope that there will be a correction over a handful of years."

My current plan has excellent coverage and very low deductibles. It costs $321 a month for my 2 kids and I. The ACA plan that I would have to buy to be comparable is $908 a month or a 282% increase. Yeah, screw that!

My insurance is $33 a month with a $150 deductible and $1000 maximum out of pocket per year. Tricare is great if you can get it!

well sure, but this particular tax, I mean, benefit shouldn't even be in existence.

Hell, the vets aren't exempt from this monstrosity. Tricare Prime is gone for any vet over 40 miles from a base.

I find more and more stories of people getting quotes every day. This is turning out to be pretty damn funny.

I just got my insurance papers yesterday. My insurance is going up more this year than it has in the last 9 combined. Bullshit.
