Wrong. The People benefit from what we do. We serve the people moreover than the President ourselves. We execute our service to the public by following our chain of command, who also serve the people.

Notice the order of the script:

"I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."

We first swear truth faith and allegiance to the constitution (which grants rights to people), while following orders from the president.

You may serve the people, but you obey the President. There is a big difference in those words. You may like to interpret it that way, but at the end of the day you aren't going to be taking orders from "The People."

To be honest, let me get back to you on Korea, but Bosnia, no. I find no authority in the Constitution for any group to hold authority over our military other than Congress and then the President.

I'm not saying what they did here was right, but indoctrination happens on both sides. For instance: I'm sure that Jim's children will have a skewed outlook on the Constitution, what it says, and how it's used.

Not saying it's right, but to assume only the liberal side is doing it would be closing ones eyes to the fact that "conservatives" do it as well.

I agree with Frost and EW... you can't and they won't attempt to reverse what they showed/taught the kids that day.

I know accidents happen but working for a school, things are typically scrutinized heavily since it involves children...they knew what was in that video. I'd bet the group that approved that video is majority, if not all, liberal.

To the OP, The state shouldn't be pushing for a political candidate, especially putting the person above the country.
