Another Gem from Kalifornia.

The Constitution guarantees the right to free speech, but don’t try to pass out copies of it at Modesto Junior College in California.
A student at the school who tried to pass out pocket-size pamphlets of the very document that memorializes our rights got shut down on Sept. 17 – a date also known as Constitution Day.

You ask would anyone be dumb enough to try it? Have you looked around while driving lately? You see flags, stickers on cars, emblems, etc. representing other nations all the time. Pride in America is dwindling away. Respect for peers, adults, and those who serve is at an all time low. We totally suck right now as parents at raising our children to be what they should be for the future. It starts with accepting crap like this.

However, apparently people think flying the flag of a communist nation that would love nothing more than for the US to be destroyed is quite okay.

Aside from some things in the past, what is there to be prideful about? We've managed to fuck up every good thing about this country except blowing shit up and putting people in jail, and you'd be hardpressed to justify to me that those are good things.
1. Yes. It shows your allegiance to Japan, not America.
2. Still (barely) the only place where you can have complete class mobility from extreme poverty to extreme wealth and back to poverty in a decade if you try. Best weapon systems on the planet and despite Obama's best efforts, still a powerhouse.I wear a Fez. Fez-es are cool

Why should they automatically be given respect?
What should kids be, for the future?
Along the way, I learned that to get respect, you have to give it. Yes, you can say it is earned, but that works both ways. To me, someone who puts on a uniform and serves others be it military, police, fire, etc. deserves respect. I've found that giving it to them usually gets it in return. The same is true for elders. They've been here a lot longer than me, and I have no right to tell them how things should be. Personally, if you don't respect those in uniform, I think you should GTFO of this country and go somewhere else. Enlisting and serving means you're signing up for something larger than you as an individual. They deserve the respect and honor that should accompany that type of service.
As for kids, they should be grateful and respectful along the way to becoming adults. My father always wanted me to be better off than him in every way, but he wanted me to get there by work that we did. I'm trying to pass the same to my kids and I hope they do the same. Currently, we have too many people with no morals or values. They leach off others and don't contribute anything positive to this country or the lifestyle of others. If that doesn't change, the USA will drift into a nation of people with a belief of entitlement. We're already much closer than I ever thought we'd be. I fault people like you.
