This is fucking ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous. McCarthy was right.

"A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury." -Alexander Fraser Tytler

      Another Gem from Kalifornia.
      http://www.myfoxdc.com/story/2348311...f-constitution

The Constitution guarantees the right to free speech, but don’t try to pass out copies of it at Modesto Junior College in California.

A student at the school who tried to pass out pocket-size pamphlets of the very document that memorializes our rights got shut down on Sept. 17 – a date also known as Constitution Day.

Yes. Seriously man? Look at this country over the last century. How many instances of allowed stupidity has there been? It takes a certain degree of vigilance to keep this ship going.

They would be run out of town only if they allowed themselves to be run out of town.

I find it funny that the media covered the Dodgers celebrating winning their division last night by jumping in the pool at Diamondbacks stadium and called it disrespectful. However, apparently people think flying the flag of a communist nation that would love nothing more than for the US to be destroyed is quite okay.

You ask would anyone be dumb enough to try it? Have you looked around while driving lately? You see flags, stickers on cars, emblems, etc. representing other nations all the time. Pride in America is dwindling away. Respect for peers, adults, and those who serve is at an all time low. We totally suck right now as parents at raising our children to be what they should be for the future. It starts with accepting crap like this.

                Fair enough.

Destroyed? We're their biggest customer. That's like Walmart wanting to get rid of all the white trash in America.

So? If I decide to put a Japanese flag on my vehicles, does that mean that I somehow hate America and wish it to fall?

Pride in America is dwindling away.
Aside from some things in the past, what is there to be prideful about? We've managed to fuck up every good thing about this country except blowing shit up and putting people in jail, and you'd be hardpressed to justify to me that those are good things.

                Respect for peers, adults,
Respect is earned, not given. However, one should always be cordial unless given a reason not to be.

and those who serve is at an all time low.
Why should they automatically be given respect?

                    1. Yes. It shows your allegiance to Japan, not America.

                    2. Still (barely) the only place where you can have complete class mobility from extreme poverty to extreme wealth and back to poverty in a decade if you try. Best weapon systems on the planet and despite Obama's best efforts, still a powerhouse.

Obviously the term libtard was coined because of people like him.

Clearly we were raised differently. My father was the oldest of nine children. His father died an alcoholic, former worker in the West Virginia coal industry, and pretty much a deadbeat. They moved out of WV when he was a senior in high school. He was on a basketball scholarship to college and had to quit to go to work to help his family make ends meet. My mother and father raised 2 highly successful sons who learned the value of a dollar, the value of friends (family or not), and how to make it through while never doing without anything truly needed and most things wanted. Eighteen years ago, I graduated from the same university he once attended, and it was one of the proudest moments in my life not because I graduated, but because I was able to do so where he once was on that path but stepped away for family.

Along the way, I learned that to get respect, you have to give it. Yes, you can say it is earned, but that works both ways. To me, someone who puts on a uniform and serves others be it military, police, fire, etc. deserves respect. I've found that giving it to them usually gets it in return. The same is true for elders. They've been here a lot longer than me, and I have no right to tell them how things should be. Personally, if you don't respect those in uniform, I think you should GTFO of this country and go somewhere else. Enlisting and serving means you're signing up for something larger than you as an individual. They deserve the respect and honor that should accompany that type of service.

As for kids, they should be grateful and respectful along the way to becoming adults. My father always wanted me to be better off than him in every way, but he wanted me to get there by work that we did. I'm trying to pass the same to my kids and I hope they do the same. Currently, we have too many people with no morals or values. They leach off others and don't contribute anything positive to this country or the lifestyle of others. If that doesn't change, the USA will drift into a nation of people with a belief of entitlement. We're already much closer than I ever thought we'd be. I fault people like you.

I will start the pool to pay for some lighter fluid, a match, and some climbing gear. Hand someone your cell phone to share.
