Doesn't really surprise me. It is distracting having them on an overpass like that. Saw half a dozen of them on different overpasses my roadtrip through the midwest last week. At the start of the vid an Officer mentioned an accident, but wasn't clear. I'm wondering if a wreck occurred due to a distracted driver.

Hate to say it, but I think there are supposed to be permits and crap for that activity. Personally, I don't see what the big deal is - I don't find that sort of thing distracting when I do see it.

They are directly in your line if sight and are moving, with lots of small letters to read. I saw a wreck going into San Antonio last weekend, right in front the bridge they were on. I'm sure someone wasn't paying attention. San Antonio is full of crappy drivers that probably don't have insurance btw.

As much as I despise Barry and his followers, I would say the law acted properly. Although I didn't see arrests' or tickets involving all the overpass signs for Chris Kyle, it has to be a huge distraction.

It's no different than reading anything else. The only reason I could see the police taking any action is if a permit was required but not obtained. If that's the case, then they should be cracking down on everyone holding a sign including those clowns spinning signs to buy your gold/do your taxes/move in special this weekend.

As for drivers with no insurance, that's an even bigger problem.

As somebody mentioned they can cause traffic issues as I've seen them just run across the to the opposite side of the bridge randomly with out paying attention to the traffic, and causing vehicles to brake hard to avoid them. I've also seen highway traffic slow down because they arent sure whats going on. Random slowdowns are what cause accidents

If people think this is the best way to create change then this country is doomed.
