someone on welfare that's sitting home watching tv is a little different from someone driving a tank or loading hand gernades, c4, ect.

I've given up on the fight to have welfare recieptients tested, why punish their kids by cutting off their funds because their parents smoke dope or whatever.

I am demanding all politicians be fucking tested for drugs and alcohol.
They make the laws and some of the laws recently they exempt themselves from, WTF.

Won't argue the difference, but in the end, they're both getting public funding. So me, the taxpayer, should decide the conditions they get MY money.

And there's no good way to do it. Sadly, kids would get "hurt". Too bad those parents tend to care more about themselves than their kids. Unfortunately, some things can't be mended without first causing some hurt. It's how the world works. Not all fixes are painless. That's a reality the some people can't bear to face.

If the parent has spare money for a joint they don't need government assistance. Remember it's not addictive and it's not an illness, potheads have argued this until they were blue in the face. If you are in dire need of help, situations the government handouts were intended for in the first place then you aren't going to be spending money on weed.

I think that indoctrinating those children with the belief that it is normal to never get a job or education, to live off the government and do drugs, is far more damaging to both the children AND to society.

You tell me how to wean an abusive and selfish parent off the gub'ment dime without hurting the kid and I'm all for it. The bad guy should be the PARENT that is abusing the system and, in effect, hurting the kids, not the people calling them to the carpet for it.
