Since being stationed at Ft Carson, I've taken 9 urinalysis tests. What exactly is the argument against random testing of welfare recipients, on both sides of the political aisle? It seems insane that in order to get a $1700 check from the government, I need to piss at least once a month, but welfare recipients shouldn't have to. I understand that it would possibly be unfair to ask them to show up in 2 hours especially if they can't afford transportation. Maybe they should at least be required to take one when signing up, or have representatives come to their place of living to test them. I really don't buy the argument of not being able to afford it as I've taken nine of them in 4 months. Would mandatory testing not cut down on bus claims and abuse of the system?!

Invasion of privacy. 4th Amendment. But being on welfare means you're taking the public funds, which, IMO, means you just lost that bit of privacy.

Oh no, I don't support it, nor am I trying to rationalize it. The GOV policy of paying money to undesirables to keep them (somewhat) sedated is rampant across the globe. It is less-upsetting to "The Big Picture" to keep everyone calm and the status quo flowing smoothly. It is just as applicable to to the natives in Chicago as it is the natives in Egypt. Give them food, a little cash, and hope they don't start any shit.

Ripping the band-aid off would be way too upsetting, would not be politically correct, would cause too many politicians to be elected out of office, and would make too many people go broke. The GOV will never allow that to happen, scary shit like that tends to frighten the sheeple.

someone on welfare that's sitting home watching tv is a little different from someone driving a tank or loading hand gernades, c4, ect.

I've given up on the fight to have welfare recieptients tested, why punish their kids by cutting off their funds because their parents smoke dope or whatever.

I am demanding all politicians be fucking tested for drugs and alcohol.
They make the laws and some of the laws recently they exempt themselves from, WTF.
