Yeah right! Look at -most- low class hoods, it does not matter race - they just keep popping them out. The problem is they DO NOT get abortions and/or they continue to get aid and never really suffer.

Advances in NICU have made premature births far more survivable. 18 month fetuses have been delivered safely and grown into healthy children/adults. In fact, by 23 weeks, the survival rate is around 70%. And the NICU exists because sometimes even near full term babies can have issues.

Do you differentiate between a machine assiting in life function, or a body?

I've seen first hand what a NICU can do. Mine were fairly premature, and there was one in there at around 24 weeks when she arrived.

The problem is, mine were not in there all THAT long and did not have any serious problems after birth (just had to get them eating/breathing - which I know is a miracle and seems minor-ish these days even compared to 20 years ago)..........anyway, my bill was somewhere between 500-750K (can't remember exact details). I had my wife's insurance and mine, so we ended up not being too far out of pocket.

A lot of people having babies that want abortions are...

1. Too young
2. Too immature
3. Too stupid

...there was a time they'd primarily pay for their mistakes. Now a days, whether it is NICU, diapers or baby food - it's society who also has a heavy burden for all these mistakes.

Then they make the mistakes over and over again. Some 4-5 times by the time they are 17.

I'm ultra conservative on MOST issues, but not abortion. Sorry. The less children brought into this world to a bunch of fucked up crack heads and immature losers the better. Yes they should use birth control, but they're too fucking lazy or stupid to do so. we're probably supporting their ass. I'd go as far to say you can use the Lone Star card for your contraception, the morning after pill or even yes, an abortion. Most of these aborted kids will have terrible lives of poverty and no chance of a decent life.

Some things on this that I found interesting: 374 ( less than .5%) of all abortions in Texas last year were past 20 weeks. At last count (nationally) 1% of all abortions are a result of rape/incest. 3 Democrats in the Texas house also voted for the bill (don't know the senate vote count). The Dems offered up several amendments that were actually pretty close, including the 20-week cut-off.

Regardless, it will be a court battle.
