I liken our current political regime to a pig covered in leeches. When the leeches, whether they're whole heartedly guzzling the blood of our future generations or merely sipping on it, outnumber the non-parasites you only have 2 options: die a slow death or kill the pig. You're not going to be able to make a leech stop until the host is sucked dry.

You don't have to kill the leeches. You do have to "kill" the host. What a leech fails to understand is that without the host, there's nothing left to to sustain them. Effectively, you need to stop whatever mechanism is encouraging the breeding and propagation of said leeches.

In this case, it's a corrupted governing body that has had each and every one of its assistance programs compromised. Multiple generations of these leeches have taught the others how to use the corruption and allow the compromising to continue. The genesis for it all starts at the programs themselves. Those are where the "host killing" should begin.
