I wonder if you guys realize the ACLU fights for both sides.

I expect them to start fighting against the IRS any minute.

I'm not a part of the ACLU, but I imagine they think the IRS is pretty well covered in litigation at this point, either that or they didn't think it merited their involvement. They don't take all the cases they're presented with, only some of them.

Bullshit they do. They refuse to take gun rights cases because they think it is a "collective" right. Even though the Supreme Court has ruled otherwise.

There is no one organization in existence I agree with 100%. What about you?

So you meant to say "They fight for both sides except on the most important issue in conservative ideaology on which they decide to take a pass".

I completely agree with a number of organizations that I can name. That has nothing to do with what you said.

So, they choose not to fight on gun rights, so that means they don't fight for conservatives. Well hell, here I was thinking that there were more stances on the conservative side than being for the second amendment. Silly me.

When was the last time they stood up to an atheist organization for the right to worship as someone chooses? Or, gone against the NAACP for their racist policies and did they go after the Black Panthers on the voter intimidation thing?

The ACLU of Michigan files lawsuits that impact people’s rights by setting a legal precedent, or affecting the policies and actions of public officials. Our current Fall 2024 Legal Docket details our legal cases and actions taken in 2023-2024.

It's late, how about you show me the part where they stood up. I don't feel like reading through cases

Actually, this one: http://www.aclumich.org/courts/legal-dockets#9religion is all about them fighting anyone trying to practice their religion. Want to spin the wheel again?

I can't find a single case listed under their "FREEDOM OF RELIGION AND BELIEF" (the section that you're linking to) that is "fighting anyone trying to practice their religion".

Could you be more specific on the case you're referring to?
Scientists do not coddle ideas. They crash test them. They run them into a brick wall at 60 miles per hour and then examine the pieces.

If the idea is sound, the pieces will be that of the wall.

I'm seeing cases about attacking exercises OF religion but not attacking those who are claiming an unconstitutional freedom FROM religion. Perhaps you can help Racr find a few.

I'd still like to know when they went after the Black Panthers on voter intimidation
