  • Breaking: Obama condemns IRS at 830pm

If the White House is releasing a statement at 8:30 at night you know they’re in full-blown panic mode.

    Statement by the President:

I have now had the opportunity to review the Treasury Department watchdog’s report on its investigation of IRS personnel who improperly targeted conservative groups applying for tax-exempt status. And the report’s findings are intolerable and inexcusable. The federal government must conduct itself in a way that’s worthy of the public’s trust, and that’s especially true for the IRS. The IRS must apply the law in a fair and impartial way, and its employees must act with utmost integrity. This report shows that some of its employees failed that test.

I’ve directed Secretary Lew to hold those responsible for these failures accountable, and to make sure that each of the Inspector General’s recommendations are implemented quickly, so that such conduct never happens again. But regardless of how this conduct was allowed to take place, the bottom line is, it was wrong. Public service is a solemn privilege. I expect everyone who serves in the federal government to hold themselves to the highest ethical and moral standards. So do the American people. And as President, I intend to make sure our public servants live up to those standards every day.

I can read that in his voice, and it makes me want to water board myself.
Ronald Reagan:"Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it."

Homer: "Bart...there's 2 things I know about women. Never give them nicknames like "jumbo" or "boxcar" and always keep receipts...it makes you look like a business man."

Now we'll wait for the whistle-blowers to come out. The IRS didn't do this on their own. There were special "teams" set up to look into every one of the non-profits with "Tea Party" somewhere in the paperwork. This, like Benghazi and the wire-taps, is far from over.

I love it. Obama saying he knew NOTHING about this is perfect. That way when evidence comes out showing it isn't true, he gets nailed to the wall.

Was he pointing or looking at anything specifically when he said it? Clinton was pointing at one specific woman in the audience when he said "I did not have sexual relations with this woman" and then paused for a bit and said "Monica Lewinsky". Then the argument commenced on to what consititutes sexual relations. He was covered either way because he never actually denied the allegations.

Remember he's an attorney, you have to pay attention to what he's saying and doing. It'll be difficult to pin anything on him other than dereliction of duty.

The White House is already changed the story, saying they fired him.
