They want these guys in civilian courts so they have the ability to use discovery to show the enemy where we got our info and how. They are not covered under Geneva but damn if they're not going to give them attorneys in violation of the law.

Honestly I'd rather see these guys in a federal court room, especially this one. Military tribunals are great when they are done during war time and in a timely manner but with the current administration they scrutinize everything and will fire officers for anything they feel like. Obama can pressure any decision he wants and if the military judge doesn't play ball his career is over. A federal judge has to be impeached so the executive branch has no influence over them.
