Denny, first of all, aside from our religious beliefs, I respect you. You seem like a really good person and I'm in no way thinking that any of my posts from now until the death of this site will sway you from your faith, and you know you won't change my mind either.

...but as I said in another thread in this same forum, what makes the modern Christian god more real than any other god before him? Or her? God shouldn't fall into a scientific gender in my opinion. The bible would agree with my opinion.

I just want to know why one God is real, and another God is not? You have billions of people believing in one, billions believing in another, millions believing in another, thousands believing in another, and hundreds believing in another but they're not religious. They're a cult. Just like when Christianity started, even in the bible.

I don't want you to explain your faith or what it has given you. I just want to know why you believe that your God is the one true God, and every other is not. Past or present.

Allow me to sum it up. "Because Bible."

Maybe, and a good try on your part.

Allow me to sum it up another way. "Holy Spirit."

I always here this "before" stuff. I thought the Bible covered God's role all the way back to creation. I could be wrong, though.

That's assuming that everything was created 8,000 years ago though. There have been plenty of religions that have come and gone in the last 2,000 years. Not to mention the polytheistic religions of B.C.

The Bible can indeed be the means by which one comes to know the Holy Spirit. You have obviously learned much in just this thread.
