I am gonna go out on an assumption limb here and suggest also, NOT a Emirat-E! They ain't driving no busses. lol

Drinking in Dubai is EVERYWHERE and so are the whores. No need to rape if you have a couple hundred dhs. If the hotel has a bar, they have women, if they have women they have Emirate men stopping in for the whores. I chose to drink and stay in the same hotels since even being in a car after drinking is risky. Cab drivers (some of whom are under covers) will just drive you to the popo house instead of your hotel if they think you drunk.

In the same sense, you can not swing a stick in most places in dubai and not hit an undercover cop. Figure one in every hotel bar. They are not really there to stop the whoring but more to make sure the tourist (john) is safe. The hotel my company uses, there are always plain clothes cops. You are hard pressed to see a uniformed cop anywhere outside of the airport.

With that said, ain't no way I would be a woman getting on a bus and traveling around by myself. Take a cab, cheaper, safer. Crime is pretty much non existant in Dubai but still, what we consider rights they consider, meh, go to jail.

I have been to Dubai some 50-60 times. I used to hate the place. After spending the last 3 nights last week I am starting to like it again.
