  • Boehner Faces Rebellion in Ranks Over Benghazi Probe Read Latest Breaking News from

More than 100 Republican House members are lining up behind a proposal to create a new select committee to investigate the attack last year on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.

According to The Hill, the lawmakers don't believe House Speaker John Boehner and other GOP leaders have done enough to examine and report on the tragedy in Libya that took the lives of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans on Sept. 11, 2012.

Virginia Rep. Frank Wolf has introduced a resolution demanding the House create a 19-member select committee to look into the assault by armed gunmen, The Hill reported on Wednesday.

So far, 101 lawmakers have signed on to the motion and hundreds of grass-roots Republicans are pressing other representatives to do the same.

“I don’t think very much has been done,” Wolf said.

“We need to form a select committee and Congress has failed them,” he added, referring to the victims of the military-style assault.

In a move to quell the discontent, Boehner has promised to release an interim report next week from the heads of the committees that have been reviewing the Benghazi attack. The Ohio Republican and panel leaders say a new select committee would be unnecessary and expensive.

Still, Wolf’s resolution has been gaining traction.

“Members really do feel like they need an update,” said Darrell Issa, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. “All of this is [about], how do you take a terrible tragedy and prevent it from happening again?”

Boehner needs to be replaced. He doesn't speak for the GOP, and is clearly a push over in the recent most battles

Replace Boehner with someone like a Gohmert or a Chaffetz and maybe you'd get somewhere or, at least, get nowhere since they would (hopefully) adhere to principles.
How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

Like most yankee republicans, he's a RINO. As much as I hate Bitch Pelosi, she stuck to her guns and was a helluva lot tougher than Boehner.

That seems to be all dems. Act like a fucking nut and the votes follow. Cater to the mush mouthed moderates and you get fucked. I'd like Boehner so much better if he came out and said "fuck Saddam Obama, I won't agree with shit that Che Barry attempts to bring into this house."

But he's a cry baby faggot that lacks conviction, so fuck him.

What's interesting is that we aren't restricted to House members to use for Speaker. We can use anyone.
