i dont know much about guns, but i understand physics and it would seem that it would take much more time/energy to fling the round on the right vs. the round on the left. If i have a helicopter reigning hellfire down on me i guess the bigger the better just to get it over with!

Not trying to troll but you title the thread collateral murder? You must assume that the people that didn't vote for your savor are idiots.

Thats just the smallest that particular helicopter is armed with, no need in flinging hellfire missile's when you have a cheaper option at hand. Also the machine cannon on the Apache helicopter moves in the direction the pilot looks therefore it was already on target.

We kill bad guys by dropping a 2,000lb JDAM guided bomb on them. Popping them with the 30mm is like putting bread in a toaster, you just don't even think about it.

I really can't wait till the day I can upload some of my videos that I have collected. "boom, boom, boom. yep he is still crawling. hit him again. boom boom boom. did you see him fly apart? holy shit. where is the next one?"
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

how far away were those shots fired from roughly? i just wonder bc in the video those people didnt really even acknoledge ghetto warbirds over head. i can see a bird in the sky without devoting at least some attention to it.

do you think you are desensitized to life/death? honest question. im trying to learn more about war-games. i say that not to offend, but in that video it sounded like they were having fun with it. and by your post it sounds like you had fun with it too. i know I am the minority here 10-fold, but i am constantly seeking knowledge on subjects i dont know.

Sounds a lot like shooting prairie dogs.

Don't know but you would be surprised at how quiet those birds are.

and just so you know my "care" level is not nearly as high as you think, i have no mission or agenda here. this is a great website that i have spent 13 years on. it has its ups and downs, high tides and low-tides. i just like to keep things interesting and keep the conversation going. If you knew me at all you will know i am the same in person. i like conversation because i only know MY opinion on matters, and I am open to hearing others.

I cry when dogs die. I cry when good men die whom I don't even know. I do not give two shits when someone dies that is trying to kill good men. I have not touched a game console or computer game in probably 10 years. So I don't play in a fantasy world. I have never killed anyone. I have been hit by an IED. I have been rocketed and had so many very close calls in the past 7 years that I am desenitized to them but thunder at home knots me up for hours. I have seen death. I have seen dead and wounded good men. I have seen and moved the body parts of bad men who attempted to kill good men. I have laughed at the flesh strewn about the road of a suicide bomber. I have seen the flesh burned into the interior, or what is left of a suicide VBIED. I would exact violance of action if I was in the position to protect good men from harms way. Having never had to or had the chance to depending on how you look at it, I don't know for sure how I would handle it afterwards but I would not feel guilty for doing nothing.

We did not go into Iraq with boots on the ground to kill Iraqis. Just the opposite, we went there to help them. I truely hope the Afghan and Iraqi people can benifit as a society from the lives and effort sacrificed by the United States of America. If they resort back to their old ways I will sleep well at night knowing first hand that America did what they could for these people, dead civilians through fault or no fault of their own and all.

You train until it's not a thought. You engage the target, move on to the next. When you kill them before they hit you with what you think is an RPG, you cheer.

More energy? Yes. More time? Not necessarily.

In all honesty you do get desensitized. When you see them and you finally have a chance to engage them it is actually a good feeling. Normally they do a hit and run tactic or blow up an IED and you have no clue where they are. After a few of your friends get blown apart and you finally have the chance to exact some revenge it is a good feeling. You do not have the luxury of thinking of them as somebody's son/father/brother. They are the vermin that have been killing your friends

when I see videos like this I find myself laughing still to this day.
