The fuck did you just say?!?! LMFAO!

Anyway, so you're saying that he is not for sure. He doubts God exists, but is open to either conclusion once one is found backed by proof?

    OK, bro... does God exist?

    Yes

    No

    I don't know

That's how the conversation has gone thus far, yes.

This is where the problem is. This assertion is one you've attempted put in my mouth before. I'll explain now what I explained then.

I don't believe that a god/gods exist. This does not mean that I believe there is no god/gods. A god/gods could exist.

However, thus far, theism has failed to meet it's burden of proof to demonstrate that it's positive assertion(a god/gods exist). This leaves me with the only reasonable position, the default position. The default position on any topic is not believing. Once sufficient evidence has been presented to demonstrate that a god/gods exist, I will change my position.

So, as I stated previously, there is no debate. I'm not claiming, nor attempting to demonstrate, that a god/gods do not exist. Nor am I attempting to convince anyone that a god/gods do not exist.
So, you're just jumping up and down, making loud noises for the fuck of it... gotcha.

I'm not doing, nor have I done, either of those things. I've also claimed nothing of the sort.

When it comes to ignoring what other people say and pretending they've said something else so that you can feel like you've accomplished something, only stephen4785 exceeds you in skill.
Scientists do not coddle ideas. They crash test them. They run them into a brick wall at 60 miles per hour and then examine the pieces.

If the idea is sound, the pieces will be that of the wall.

So you don't understand what's being told to you.

I do not believe in god. Does that mean that one doesn't exist? No. That just means I don't believe your claims.

I'll post this again for you. You apparently do not have the intellectual capability to understand the concepts being presented to you.

So, you're still not sure if God exists or not, right?

                    It's the same. fucking. thing.

                    There is a difference between

                    I believe in god
I do not believe in god
I believe god to not exist

OK, you can think that, but I only see two statements (one just worded two ways).

Your blinders will not allow you to see what the difference is.

Can you believe in God if you believe He doesn't exist? Bring the logic!!!

I don't know if any god/gods exist, correct. However, based on the fact that there is no actual evidence to support the claim that a god/gods exist, I do not believe it.

Of course, I've never argued that a god/gods don't exist. I've only discussed truth claims, much like the claim above that Josephus "was there and wrote about what was happening during Jesus' time here on earth and when He appeared alive again on the 3rd day". It's a claim not supported by evidence, therefore, reasonable discarded.

By pointing that out, I am not asserting that a god/gods exist or does not exist. All I'm doing is stating that his evidence is bad and explaining why it is so.

So, based on "bad evidence," you've come to the belief that He doesn't exist?

Bad evidence drives your decision to the contrary?

                              Bring the logic!!!

No, based on a lack of evidence, I do not believe the positive assertion that theism makes.

Nowhere did I state that I believe a god/gods do not exist. I'm not selling something else, I'm just not buying what you are selling.

Bad evidence does not support a claim, leaving me in the default position.

Once again, you attempt to redefine my position.

I have. You've merely ignored it.
