I believe that accused child molesters, no matter who they may be within or outside of any religious hierarchy, should face trial in secular courts since they are charged with violation of secular laws.

Though not Catholic myself, the Catholic Church itself has my utmost respect and if I were Catholic I would not abandon them either or be shamed while they deal with these tough issues.
