I'd say that when you can find "sins" that were done in the name of atheism, then yes.

Until then, you don't have an analogous situation.
Scientists do not coddle ideas. They crash test them. They run them into a brick wall at 60 miles per hour and then examine the pieces.

If the idea is sound, the pieces will be that of the wall.

      Also a delusion? http://www.templeofwitchcraft.org/

      About the Temple

Co-founded by Christopher Penczak, Steve Kenson, and Adam Sartwell, the Temple started in 1998 as a system of magickal training and personal development, and eventually developed into a formal tradition of Witchcraft.

Now, as an outgrowth of the work of students, initiates, and graduates of the programs, the Temple of Witchcraft has evolved into an organization based on traditions of modern magick, Witchcraft, and neopaganism. The work of the Temple is both other-worldly and terrestrial, seeking to strengthen the connections between spirit and matter through inner transformation and public service.
I'd say delusion is a pretty fitting word. You're delusional as well.

something that is falsely or delusively believed or propagated; a persistent false psychotic belief regarding the self or persons or objects outside the self that is maintained despite indisputable evidence to the contrary; also : the abnormal state marked by such beliefs… See the full definition

I don't see why you wouldn't. If it does, you've a mandate to kill the practitioner. I'd expect a Christian to want to follow their god's rules.

At least you've consistantly demonstrated that you fail at reading comprehension, as I've done none of that.

This is true. However, only one of us can be right. Considering all the available evidence supports me, It would seem that you're likely not that person.

You also refuse to defend your faith by telling me to go away? That's fairly typical.

All in all, your argument to Racr's point has no merit, as your primary source doesn't even have your confidence.
Go ahead. Believe whatever you want. No sweat off my back. I am not going to try to explain another thing to you because you don't seem to understand simple logic. The only one that you've convinced is yourself. You are the typical anti-religion Bible hater. Go ahead and do your thing.

Umm, he's right... You can't say someone is being illogical when you don't know what logic is.

I also like how he's a bible hater but you're the only one really talking about it.

I will believe what the evidence supports. You, by your own words, don't even believe your own holy book.

Incorrect. Logic dictates that a true dichotomy be formed. The dichotomy, in this case being belief and non-belief. If you do not actively believe, you do not believe. As I stated earlier, that does not mean that you believe the converse, only that you do not believe the assertion being discussed.

              It's simple Logic 101.

Convinced of what? You've not presented a supported argument, so I've nothing to convince anyone of.

I don't hate the bible anymore than I hate the twilight books. I simply feel that both are shitty fiction and abysmal models to build one's life and/or lifestyle around.

I will, however, be glad to discuss any position you take, once you can provide some actual evidence to support your claims. Unfortunately, you've provided none, thus far.

Hatter, while you don't believe as I do, I am always impressed with your debates. Clear, logical and you don't resort to names. We may disagree but you are impressive. Thank you.

You still haven't provided how I'm delusional. You stated that witchcraft didn't exist, I provided proof that it is still a form of religion held by people.

People believe in god, does that mean he exists? Just because people practice something doesn't mean it's real. Alchemy, astrology, religion. None of which has been proven to be true.

No worries. When you educate yourself on the laws of logic and how it operates, you'll fully understand how right I am. On the application of logic, that is.

Actually, you're not arguing if what they believe exists but rather that their religion doesn't. Study of Alchemy? Real. Actually getting results outside of a nuclear reactor? Not so much. Astrology? Same.

All of them exist. You can argue as to the basis of the religion but not that the religion exists

Okay. I come back later when I can talk on the same logical level.
