Let me ask you this. Lets say you were going to do some contract work on a house, the person verbally tells you that they're going to pay you 10k to paint the fence and the trim outside the house, but when you go to sign the contract not only do they only want to pay you 8k, but they also want you to paint the entire inside of the home. Would you sign the contract knowing you're getting fucked, or would you walk? Keep in mind, negotiations are over at this point and you have both agreed on a price and job.
Honestly, it is a cop out. You could have worked with another recruiter and gotten what you wanted. Like it was stated earlier, you got scared. it happens. But you have to realize that when you are a Marine or any branch, I assume, is that you constantly have guys tell you that they almost went in......okay.....so?
And i also dont think for a second that you would be wearing a 1%er vest with patches anywhere near where a 1%er can see you.
It is true, it is your right to wear whatever you want.....but that doesnt mean that you wont get beat down to the fucking ground if you do.

No, it is because you know you would get beat the fuck down buy an angry biker that doesnt give two shits about going back to the pen for sticking you a few times with a rather large blade because you offended him. You have learned not to play with fire.

Well, nothing probably will happen to much of anybody for doing it. It's like those WBC assholes. Yeah, it's their right and nothing will probably happen to them. However, that does mean it is right and that they are no the scum of the earth for doing it and have no ethics.
Having good ethics, supersedes any law or even right in my opinion.

I told the guy at MEPS it was wrong, and that he needed to contact my recruiter to get it taken care of, after about an hour and a half of wondering what the fuck was going on they told me I wasn't going to ship that day. I wasn't scared, Levi, don't get it twisted. I wasn't some fresh out of HS kid who was wet behind the ears. I was 21 when I made the choice. It was calculated.

I was speaking from a legal standpoint. Obviously you'll have some water heads that get pissed off over shit that people wear, and they're fucking idiots.

You just got to see it from our side......when you are in your Dress Blues and you are at a bar getting a beer, you constantly have guys tell you that they were going to be a Marine.
I can understand that they got it screwed up, but if you had wanted to be a Marine bad enough, you would have made it happen.
I had flat feet, a torn rotator cuff that had already had one surgery on it, and i was color blind......but i did my pullups, faked my way thru the ishihara test cause they are all identical, and arched my feet when the doc walked by to check to see if they were flat. I did it because I wanted to be a Marine more than anything else in the world.

You would have your mind blown that I originally went in for JAG and signed infantry.
