Originally posted by Jester View Postit is because you dont know what honor is among the Corps. It is not a costume. It is the Marine Corps dress blues uniform. It has been worn by the finest military members and heroes that the world has ever known. You earn the right to wear that uniform. If you have not earned that right.....dont wear it. It is a uniform that we hold sacred. The fact that I have to share the air with people that have no respect has my mind full of fuck. If you have not earned a uniform.....dont wear it as if you have the right to. You want a costume? go to the costume store.
So you ask who fucking cares...........every single Marine I have ever served with cares. Every Marine I have ever known cares. Every Marine that has watched their buddies get torn to shreds in combat cares.
This is not something we are flexible on. We do not bend our traditions to please civvies. If you have not stood on the yellow foot prints and you have not been hardened thru blood, sweat, and tears......dont wear it.
It is about honor and dishonor.........wearing our sacred blues is a line you do not cross. If you do.....be prepared to get beat the fuck down. end of story.

It is the people (past, present and future) who proudly wear that uniform, as well as the uniforms of the other branches of our Armed Forces, who have protected your right to be the piece of shit you are.
And you obviously are taking full advantage of the right to be a piece of shit.

It can be argued that he is using this as a PR stunt to promote himself, which would make this fall under the Stolen Valor act. I would have no problem with 10 nickles going to prison over this.

I can understand and accept the wearing of camo, old fatigues bought at the Surplus store, that sort of thing. When they put on a uniform with medals , that crosses the line of respect and dignity to those who have served..Natural law. Sons are put on this earth to trouble their fathers.

Too bad the Stolen Valor Act was ruled unconstitutional under the first in June of last year. I agree with the stolen valor act in certain circumstances (trying to pass yourself off as a service member for gain AKA fraud) and disagree with it because tards such as yourself would try to use it in the manner shown in this thread.Last edited by racrguy; 02-26-2013, 01:33 PM.

But you did just educate me on something, I thought it was ruled that the Stolen Valor act was reduced to a misdemeanor if a person profited from the wear of a military uniform and/ or decorations. Thank you for setting me straight.
