NFL players are collecting hundreds of millions of dollars in worker comp claims due to injuries from playing football. Let that sink in for a bit. The players don't even have to be on a team that is based out of California. As long as they play one game in their career in The Golden State they are being awarded settlements in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. Hell even Michael Irvin collected $249,000.
