Maybe I'm a pessimist, but I agree with this. Don't discount the idiots, there are a lot of them and slowly becoming the majority.

I also think back to a hunter education class in AZ. The speaker stated that across the US, 10% are active hunters/shooters, and 10% are anti-gun nuts. That leaves 80% of the US as "not involved". I have a hard time making those numbers fit what I know and see, but those were the numbers used.

Anybody seen numbers that they feel are more accurate/believable?

Everything I see today has severe political bias.

I think that mental health checks will be used to control gun possession by combat veterans.

I also believe that America's best chance of overcoming tyranny is through the support of combat veterans. You will start to see a bigger push in the public exposure to PTSD and such.

True, with most gun owners having multiples of guns.

Sadly, all of mine melted down in a tragic welding fire.

That's in your circle, but the voting numbers show basically 50/50, more towards dem though which is why the popular vote was 51/49 if I remember right.

Basically, the one I took in TX they said the same thing. 'Cept I think they used 20 - 60 - 20

The purpose from a voting/want people to agree with you is that neither side can win xyz argument alone. In this case guns. There is a vast majority in the middle that have no real opinion. Those are the ones that everyone (to include us) should work on.

Just like we're not going to change our mind about guns, the 2nd amendment - etc the hard core gun control crowd is not going to change their minds either. It's why I try to be the best gun advocate I can, without acting like a fool.

I'm not buying the high percentage of undecided. There may be a high percentage of un-heard from, or not vocal, but not undecided.
