So you're telling me these anti gun laws don't exempt police officers? That cops are stuck with under 10 rounds in their magazines, are forced to give up their AR's and 30 round magazines? Or are they exempted in every case because government is force and forcing police to obey the same laws the citizens do would cause police unions to lose their minds? As a matter of fact, when the police AREN'T exempted from these laws, it makes the news such as when the NY gun ban went into effect, the police started screaming because they weren't exempted.

So far in Texas there have been no laws passed that would cause me concern.

My comment was more or less to your reference that police are exempt from EVERY law that might effect them.

        Matt,
You really don't want to have this conversation with me as I don't want to turn this into a FTP thread. In your squad you're exempt from speed limits, driving while distracted tickets, illegal lane change tickets, red lights, and a host of other laws that you write tickets for. While you may be cool about it, many aren't and are hypocrites of the highest order.

If an officer does any of those things in pursuit of a legitimate law enforcement objective, then it is allowed. If not, then there should be the same consequences as anyone else.

Not half. I know of one, which, granted, doesn't mean shit, but I know of at least one democrat that I gave hell for supporting obama who is a gun nut too. He is currently railing against the saviour, based on the way they're going after guns. While he is only one, there are more like him, which may knock it all the way down to 49%!

Shit's fixing to hit the fan, watch. I'm seeing more and more reports that guestimations are this summer for our lives to change forever. And based on how they are continually ratcheting up the pressure, something will give. Somewhere a seam is going to finally let go...

And someone said I needed a tinfoil hat.

I'm with Gargamel on this. We passed the tipping point last November. The liberals are steadily out numbering and politically destroying the red-blooded Americans. There won't be any spark, or call to arms to defend our constitution. We will continue to slowly give up our liberties and our beautiful country will rot and fester from tyranny and corruption. By the time there is a conservative effort to preserve our republic, it will be far too late.

See and I don't understand that. We saw, with Dorner (no matter your view on him) what one man, determined, can do against a much larger force.

I'm going to start hanging "come and take it" flags on all my democrat neighbors lawn if anything does go down.

I don't think he is anywhere near HALF. He barely got half the vote to win this election. I know for a fact that a large number of Democrat voters are also gun owners, even if it was only 10% of his voters that would be enough. But in all honesty I would say well over half of the idiots that supported this guy also support gun ownership. The media will tell us that "the gun owners are the minority" but those numbers do not add up.

Like Frost pointed out Dorner, no matter how you feel showed us all that 1 person basically took on thousands of LEOs and was holding his own. This dudes downfall was he couldn't drive worth a damn.

I would say they are looking for a fight but the more I think about it they are too arrogant and think we will just roll over. If we roll over it is our own damn fault but I imagine there will be a few that start fighting and more will follow.
