You have yet to explain why you think gun rights will be obeyed by the government when they do not obey any other rights. And it is not because "it is too dangerous to go house to house" or "we have a strong gun culture". New machine guns were banned and nothing happened. "Assault Weapons" and dangerous high cap mags were banned, and nothing happened. The Branch Dividians were slaughtered and not allowed to go on trial, on US soil, and nothing happened. The FCC tells people what they can and can't say on the radio, yet nothing happens. Illegals cross our borders every day, yet the government does nothing to enforce our laws. Selling guns to Mexico is illegal, yet the government does it. Not one Constitutional right is respected by our government. Few laws are enforced, and when they are, they seemed to be enforced as they feel like it. Every other law in this country, and every other right is shit on by our government, but for some mysterious reason they respect and enjoy and love and will always allow the 2nd amendment to flourish. You must be living in some kind of fucked up, drug induced euphoria, because the things you spout off about the protection of gun rights just do not make any sense when you look at the whole picture.

Not trying to explain that. That isn't my goal nor my point. I simply have stated that confiscation cannot and will not happen. No force will go door to door to get your precious 12 gauge and AR15.

As for your clause about how every other amendment or law is ignored by the government... fucking lol dude.

This bill is nothing more than a trial balloon by state Democrats to see how far they can get. The Republican's in that state hold a super majority in the legislature. Who knows how well this could backfire on them.. Hopefully it will set Democratic efforts back 20 years in that state.

I'm not overly concerned about bills like this in predominantly conservative states. It is the federal government that worries me. DOHCTR is correct that confiscation is impractical but I don't believe that is the goal at this time. They want an incremental surrender of our rights. Just a bit at a time is the only way gun right opponents can truly castrate the 2nd amendment. Many aren't looking at this as a four year fight but a 20 or 50 year fight. Those that want immediate results are likely to face very strong opposition and threaten their own political careers unless they are in staunchly liberal constituencies.
