Agreed. They are pushing the poor and lower-middle-class to become a group of under-employed, part-time, or cash-only workers. All of which does nothing to solve the underlying issues with healthcare in the US.

WTF? the total of all my premiums last year was $4400 for a family of 3. Keep in mind that was pre-tax payouts. Now, make that $20,000 of PRE-TAX payments and my taxable income just went down 16,000....costing the IRS tax revenue right?!

I guess along the way they forgot that healthcare was supposed to go down! LOL!

I keep telling people that the .GOV is having to find ways to raise tax revenue and be prepared for 70% tax rates to pay for all these bills they have, and continue to, rack up.

I remember hearing how they want to remove insurance from being a pre-tax item.

They have also toyed with the idea of taxing you on the full cost of the premiums if your employer pays a percentage. That would be a pretty big chunk for my family as my employer pays 90% of my premiums.

That's right. I remember that too. They want to forcibly every take every dime.

This healthcare deal is going to destroy our country. It is too bad we can't destroy the people responsible.

The total amount paid by the employee and employer for employer-sponsored health insurance, if applicable, is already listed on your W-2. It would be a simple matter for the IRS to declare that total fully taxable in the future.

That's just the way things are. The rules of game are always going to change. You're only hope is to try to be forward thinking and out earn what they are trying to take. I'm not saying it's right, but that's just the way it is so accept it. You use to be able to deduct credit card interest on your taxes. I expect that alot of deductions are going to be done away with soon. That's why I refinanced my house so I'm not paying much in interest and won't be effected when they do away with the mortgage interest tax write off.

Probably so. A flat tax on gross income would be best way to go in my opinion, because that way everyone pays and special interests are eliminated.

They did away with the home mortgage exemption for 2012, but they just put it back in for 2013. I expect them to get rid of it again.

As for staying ahead of the game, that is getting harder and harder for most people. It is great if it works, but if you can't find a choooo choooo job, it will become impossible to keep the standard of living up. There are already so many people that are financially sinking. Yet, those same people were in great shape 10 years ago with a rosey future.

Don't worry there, big balling fella. They'll find a way raise the water level to the point where you can barely breathe as well.

Anyone with common sense had to know this was coming. This hunk of shit hasn't even gone into effect yet. Just wait. It will be laughable, if it weren't so tragic.

Maybe or Maybe not. But I got alot of breathing room as I live well below my means and have always been a big time saver. I read an article awhile back that claimed the newest problem with American's is they are too broke to file bankruptcy. Meaning they couldn't even scrape up the $1,500 to pay an attorney to bankrupt them. That's pretty bad.

Forced servitude. We'll start selling Russian made Levi-skies out of the backs of our homes just to try to make grocery money, for the 12 people living in the house.
