There was a point, not too long ago, where I didn't understand the point of terms limits. If the people like him/her, let them keep electing him/her. The problem is, most people don't know shit and most politicians, no matter how sincere they are in their candidacy, become severely corrupt in just a few short years after entering office.

Not sure why I turned this into a term limits discussion, now that I think about it.

Now, now. He's no Ron Paul.
How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

Because he's a Senator, or because he's actually making an impact 3 months into his term?

Ron Paul shined the light on a lot of issues big brother would rather he didn't. That's always good for the little guy.

What do all these have in common? More taxed spending in the state of Texas. How many millions is Arlington going to get over the next 10 years? They offered Jerry a tax deal while Dallas did not, the area around the stadium is getting built up while the Fair Park area is looking worse every day.
What you're referring to are local taxes. That makes sense because the actual area affected is local to the business.
State taxes should not be touched. That's about as retarded as the 7 year tax break for foreigners to start a business anywhere in the U.S., only to sell the business to their relatives in 6.5 years.

I thought Amazon was bringing 2000 jobs to Texas? We already have a VERY business-friendly atmosphere, not to mention a low cost of living and no state income tax, which will benefit their employee's. There are many businesses that relocate to Texas that we won't hear about because not all of them are big enough to make the news.

They are building a new warehouse/sorting facility between San Antonio and New Braunfels as we speak. Part of the deal they made with the State over whether they actually owed sales tax or not was to create more jobs in Texas.

Correct. The poster acted like they were gone. The "sales tax" issue is different than them being taxed after getting here, right?
