  • VA just left

I just had a caregiver from the VA leave the house and am troubled by some of the questions she asked. Worked into her questionaire that I had to answer was "Do you have any weapons in the house?" When I answered yes, she said "What are they and where are they?"

Of course I didn't give any real answer of note but why did she want to know what they were and where? She had notes from previous visits and it clearly stated that I did have at least one, but this lady was determined to find out exactly what they were. So, I answered I had a pistol but refused to answer further. This is troubling

I'm pretty sure they don't want to try to confiscate mine just yet. They send out women in GOV's. If they show up with a van and a couple of guys? I'll start worrying. Besides, I have to go get them from town to bring them out here. GPS tends not to show the way to my house

Note to everyone with any doubt that this latest push would go all the way to a gun grab if the libs on the hill thought they could get away with it. WTF is going on in the corner recesses of the capitol these days?

The answer to both questions in my house is N/A.

Every time I have to deal with the VA head doctors or counseling they ask the same question, I reply with yeah I have a .45... they then always follow this asking about 20 times if I ever want to hurt myself or ever think about suicide. Yeah I was diagnosed with PTSD but only a 10%, I guess I never should have said that I was having nightmares.

They asked the wife if I ever want to hurt myself or others or if she feels threatened. Cute. Fortunately, she is smart enough to know that trap and answered "No."

I wonder what they would say or do if you just refused to answer about guns?

I did the same. They came out here 3 times trying to get more answers than just how many were in the house. Every one of them left with a copy of the constitution with the appropriate section highlighted

Trap? You mean she lied for you and she does feel threatened?

Why did you even let her ask the question? Wow this is very troubling.

Hell, everyone gets angry and want's to hurt someone at one point or another. They could easily skew that.
